At Swanton Swimmers our accredited swim instructors offer a nurturing environment to develop essential water confidence and swimming skills in a fun and rewarding environment. Through a safe and praising environment, we are the experts in helping children, especially nervous swimmers, develop key swimming skills and new found confidence which will not only stay with them every time they enter the water, but also help them in their personal and educational development.
As part of your child’s development through the “Swim England Learn to Swim” programme they will earn certificates and badges as they progress. More importantly for the development of the child, they will also receive kind encouragement and support throughout the lessons from our experienced swim instructors who gently push the pupils’ boundaries and develop their confidence as a result.
Whether you are a parent or grandparent, we also offer a class for you and baby to help bond in the water and develop water confidence at an early age. We strongly believe the earlier a child is introduced to a swimming pool, confidence in all areas of their development will follow. For more information contact us today (hyper link to contact page)
What happens after Stage 7 is complete?
Our swimmers can then go onto a club to train, or if they’re not quite ready or not wanting to join the club environment, many of them join our ‘Junior Swim Fitness’ class. This class will provide a weekly swim for fitness, follow a programme similar to club training, but with less pressure on performance and more focus on swimming for fun and a healthy lifestyle. There is also the opportunity to gain awards in Stage 8-10 for competitive swimming.
If your child is very nervous about entering the pool or joining a club for the first time then please contact us and we will be very happy to discuss our approach to reassuring the pupil and developing their skills.
